Giving

“He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all,

how will He not also with Him graciously give us all things?”

Romans 8:32 ESV

When it comes down to it, our lives are filled with giving.  In fact, the meaning of life could be summarized in that word, “giving.”  But not, perhaps, in the way most would think.

Everything and everyone is completely dependent on the giving of God.  He gives us all that we “need to support this body and life.”  (Small Catechism, Creed, 1st Article.)  Yet far more importantly, He gives forgiveness, life, and salvation through the saving work of Jesus Christ, delivered through His preaching and Sacraments.

In joyful response, we are glad to give back.  As Christians, we love to return gifts to God and share them with others, whether our finances, or our time, talents, and abilities.

Forgiven and redeemed by Christ, you are welcome and blessed to look for ways that you can gift others in the witness of the Gospel, works of mercy for others, living our life together!

The gifts Christ freely gives He gives to you and me

To be His Church, His bride, His chosen, saved and free!

Saints blest with these rich gifts Are children who proclaim

That they were won by Christ And cling to His strong name.
