Early Childhood Academics

Our academics emphasize the “Whole Child” with a well-rounded focus on the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of each child. The St. John's curriculum not only meets the state requirements, but our students' test scores are consistently above the national norm. Our highly qualified teachers focus on each child's individual learning styles and needs, helping students reach their full academic potential.

As a Christian school, we care about the social, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being of our students. At St. John's, each child experiences the love of God and is nurtured in their Christian faith journey. Our teachers not only love teaching, but they also love Jesus, and this is reflected in their interactions with each student.

Our Early Childhood Program incorporates play, social emotional learning, basic math and reading, hands-on science projects, outdoor learning, and fine art classes to help students develop their skills and interests during their first few years of school.

We believe that play is an essential part of a child's growth, so we have playtime built into our Early Childhood daily schedules. Along with play, we make sure that students have a chance to rest, and our PK classes have a designated quiet time so that students can recharge for the rest of the day. PK families also have the option of choosing between multiple schedule options.
