Academics at St. John's
Our academics emphasize the “Whole Child” with a well-rounded focus on the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth of each child. The St. John's curriculum not only meets the state requirements, but our students' test scores are consistently above the national norm. Our highly qualified teachers focus on each child's individual learning styles and needs, helping students reach their full academic potential.
As a Christian school, we care about the social, emotional, and spiritual health and well-being of our students. Each child experiences the love of God and is nurtured in their Christian faith journey. Our teachers not only love teaching, but they also love Jesus, and this is reflected in their interactions with each student. Learn more about our programs, through the links below!

Tutoring
St. John's partners with Superior Chicago Tutoring (SCT) to provide Title 1 services to our 1st-8th grade students. Students who place into the program receive individualized attention in math and reading from highly qualified teachers. Visit our staff page to learn about our Title 1 teachers!
Extended Care
St. John's extended care program, Eagle's Nest, provides a loving and safe environment where students can relax, complete their homework, play outside, and have fun with their friends. Eagle's Nest runs from 6:45AM-8:15AM and from 3:15PM-6PM. Candy Lawler, the Eagle's Nest Director & a St. John's alum parent, runs the program along with Jacilyn Ortiz.
